New Superintendent 2024-2025 School Year

Our district superintendent, Mr. Danny Thomas, has announced his retirement, effective June 30, 2025, after an impressive 38 years in education. Mr. Thomas has played a vital role in the Magnet Cove School District, dedicating his career to creating a nurturing environment for learning, growth, and success for both students and staff.

Mr. Thomas shared his heartfelt appreciation for the Magnet Cove community, stating, "It has been an honor and a privilege to serve this wonderful community. I am proud of what we have accomplished together and am excited for the future of Magnet Cove Schools." The district expresses its gratitude to Mr. Thomas for his years of dedicated service and wishes him a fulfilling and joyful retirement.

We are thrilled to announce the promotion of Mr. Cameron Alexander, our elementary school principal, to the position of Superintendent, effective July 1, 2025. Mr. Alexander brings experience and a fresh perspective to this role. Renowned for his commitment to student-centered learning and fostering collaboration among educators, he has played a key role in implementing successful initiatives at the elementary level. His leadership abilities, paired with his passion for education, make him an outstanding choice to lead the district into its next chapter.

In his new position, Mr. Alexander plans to build on the district’s achievements while focusing on innovative strategies to improve educational outcomes for all students. He is dedicated to upholding the district’s tradition of excellence while exploring new avenues for growth and development.

Mr. Alexander earned his Bachelor's Degree from Ouachita Baptist University, his Master's from Southern Arkansas University, and his Education Specialist degree from Arkansas State University.
